Halley Consulting Appoints New Chief Operating Officer
Healthcare industry expert, Michael J. Ferry, MPA, to oversee practice management team
February 5, 2009 – COLUMBUS, Ohio – Marc Halley, President and Chief Executive Officer, Halley Consulting Group, announced the promotion of Michael J. Ferry to Chief Operating Officer for the physician practice and management consulting firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
With an extensive background specializing in physician practice development, including networks of up to 180 physicians, Ferry has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years.
Ferry’s experience includes interim management of medical practice networks, practice acquisition, network start up and a full range of consulting and implementation activity leading to practice and network growth improvement. Governance formation and development is a particular area of expertise.
“He will now lead and oversee day-to-day operations for our hospital network and physician clients across the U.S. and our 10-member Operations Team. Given his management expertise and superior physician practice results, Michael will continue to be a valuable Halley executive,” Halley says.
In addition to his Halley Consulting responsibilities, Ferry serves as the lead operational executive for a large regional physician network affiliated with a national healthcare organization. He is also a contributor and co-editor of The Medical Practice Start-Up Guide.
Ferry earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University and a Master's of Public Affairs with a concentration and certificate in Healthcare Management from Indiana University.
