Marc Halley to Discuss Measuring and Changing Performance in Hospital-Owned Medical Practices at HFMA’s ANI Conference
Halley Consulting Group CEO addresses how to identify performance drivers in
medical practices to change physician and staff behavior
June 14, 2011 – COLUMBUS, Ohio – Performance indicators can change behavior among physicians, managers and staff. However, identifying the right indicators, particularly for specialists, can be a challenge. Marc Halley, president and CEO of Halley Consulting Group will address the challenges and how to identify what drives performance in a breakout session at the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Annual National Conference (ANI) in Orlando, June 26 – 29.
The breakout session, “Hospital-Owned Medical Practices: Measuring and Changing Performance Using Key Performance Indicators,” will be conducted at the conference on Tuesday, June 28, from 10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Halley will share various tools for measuring performance in primary care and specialty practices, including gap analysis and a site-specific action plan that will engage physicians and managers in changing behavior to improve performance. William Reiser, chief financial officer of Halley Consulting Group, and Jeffrey Limbocker, vice president of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, also will share a hands-on case study that applies these techniques in hospital-owned medical practices.
Post session, attendees will leave with the ability to:
• Identify the drivers of performance in primary care and specialty practices
• Describe the best measures for behaviors that affect performance
• Draw lessons from case studies of hospital-owned medical practices
