Randy P. Buchnowski, MHA, FACHE, serves as a network executive for The Halley Consulting Group. Randy’s healthcare experience spans over 20 years including the past 13 years in Colorado and Washington state with extensive experience with multi-specialty physician enterprises, HMOs, hospitals and health systems. Before joining Halley Consulting, he served as chief operating officer for a large and growing hospital-owned multi-specialty practice network. During his career, he was responsible for the operational improvement of a hospital-based physician network with over 200 providers and staff. Randy also rebuilt three large specialty clinics and increased professional fee revenue in excess of 20%, facilitated research projects and ensured compliance with Joint Commission standards. He has worked to expand five academic medical/surgical practices at a large university hospital, and developed health care models for communities with Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs facilities. Some of his achievements in these roles include: leading clinic teams to exceed budgeted visit volumes by 9%; successfully rolling out five EHRs, including some with new patient-centered e-applications including My Doctor’s Office and Advance Check-in to primary and specialty care hospital-owned practices; and initiating insurance verification and authorization processes for patient visits, improving collections by 16% and decreasing denials by 12%.
Randy received a Bachelor of Science in Community Health and a Master of Public Administration from Boise State University followed by a Master of Health Administration from Baylor University.
