Sarah Montijo, MHA, is Vice President of Business Analytics for Halley Consulting. Prior to joining Halley Consulting, she served as the Director of Planning and Project Management for a medical center in Virginia, and the Director of Operations for a large hospital-owned medical group. She has led EMR implementation, developed business and strategic plans, managed alignment relationships between physicians and hospital administrators, conducted physician recruitment, managed onboarding of acquired medical practices, supervised practice managers, developed budgets, created and managed a medical practice dashboard, and operationalized System objectives at the practice level.
As a Halley Consulting executive, Sarah has worked with a full range of clients with a focus on network development. She has served as a Vice President of Network Development for a multispecialty physician network comprised of more than 350 providers, where she was responsible for the recruitment and acquisition of both primary care and specialty providers. Sarah has driven the acquisition process for smaller yet complex independent physician groups as well as for larger groups. With her experience in employment agreements and negotiations, Sarah has also supported compensation model redesigns and implementations, ensuring that the models are compliant and that providers are being paid according to contract. Sarah also supports our network evaluation work, which she enjoys as it allows her to stay in touch with the operations of a practice.
As the Vice President of Business Analytics, Sarah oversees our Business Analytics department, which is mainly responsible for performance reporting and strategic planning, such as Medical Staff Development Planning and Primary Care Retail Analyses.
Sarah received her Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administrator from James Madison University. Sarah is a resident of Richmond, Virginia.
